Dr. Steve was born in Texas and raised in Oregon by a strong mother. He is the 10th Veterinarian in his family. Dr. Steve graduated from Oregon State University where his grandfather taught anatomy. He has been a practicing Vet for 14 years, 13 of those spent right here in the Tri-City area. His passion and life's work is to enhance the human animal bond. Dr. Fernandez relates well with people from all walks of life, he enjoys being involved with people especially if he can make them happy by getting and keeping their pets healthy. His specialties include small animals, exotics, and small farm animals. Dr. Fernandez is a talented surgeon skilled in many procedures including laser surgery and Cruciate Ligament repairs. Dr. Steve is a compassionate Veterinarian with a big heart. He is married to Mary and together they have a mini farm with horses, a mule, sheep, goats, dogs and a cat. They are avid gardeners. When they get a chance you will find them camping with their horses.
